Hanya Yanagihara

Hanya Yanagihara is an American novelist and editor. She is best known for her 2015 novel A Little Life, which was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize and National Book Award. Her other works include The People in the Trees (2013) and The Tsar of Love and Techno (2015). Yanagihara was born in Los Angeles and raised in Hawaii. She attended Brown University and received her MFA from New York University. She has worked as an editor at Condé Nast Traveler, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and The New York Observer. Yanagihara's writing is often described as dark and emotionally intense. Her works explore themes of trauma, suffering, and the search for meaning in life. Her writing style is characterized by its vivid imagery and lyrical prose. Yanagihara has been praised for her ability to create complex and sympathetic characters.
