J. Michael Straczynski
J. Michael Straczynski is an American writer, producer, and director. He is best known for his work in television, having created the science fiction series Babylon 5 and its spin-off Crusade, as well as writing the screenplay for the film Changeling. He has also written for a variety of other television series, including The Twilight Zone, Jeremiah, and Sense8.
Straczynski is a prolific comic book writer, having written for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, and Top Cow Productions. He is the creator of the comic book series Rising Stars, Midnight Nation, and Dream Police. He has also written for a variety of other comic book series, including The Amazing Spider-Man, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Thor.
Straczynski has written several novels, including The Complete Book of Scriptwriting, The Complete Book of Scriptwriting for Television, and The Complete Book of Scriptwriting for Film. He has also written several non-fiction books, including Becoming Superman: My Journey from Poverty to Hollywood.
Straczynski has won numerous awards for his work, including the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation for Babylon 5, the Saturn Award for Best Writing for Changeling, and the Eisner Award for Best Writer for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man.
