Hakeem Oluseyi
Hakeem Oluseyi is an American astrophysicist, inventor, and television personality. He is best known for his work on the Discovery Channel's series Outrageous Acts of Science and his appearances on the Science Channel's series How the Universe Works.
Oluseyi was born in the United States and grew up in a low-income family in Florida. He was the first in his family to attend college, and he earned a bachelor's degree in physics from Florida A&M University. He went on to earn a master's degree in physics from the University of Alabama and a doctorate in astrophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Oluseyi is a professor of physics and space sciences at the Florida Institute of Technology. He is also the director of the Minority University Research and Education Program at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Oluseyi is a prolific inventor, having developed several technologies for space exploration. He has also been involved in numerous outreach programs to encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in science and technology.
Oluseyi is a passionate advocate for science education and has been featured in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and National Geographic. He has also been a guest on the popular television show The Big Bang Theory.
