Stuart Turton
Stuart Turton is a British author and journalist. He is best known for his debut novel, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, which was published in 2018 and has since been translated into over 20 languages. The novel was a Sunday Times bestseller and won the Costa First Novel Award in 2019.
Turton has also written for publications such as The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, and The Telegraph. He has also written for television, including the BBC's The One Show and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch.
Turton's second novel, The Devil and the Dark Water, was published in 2020 and was a Sunday Times bestseller. It was also longlisted for the 2020 Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award.
Turton is currently working on his third novel, which is due to be published in 2021. He is also a regular speaker at literary festivals and events, and is a patron of the charity BookTrust.
