Lisa Trumbauer
Lisa Trumbauer is an American author and illustrator of children's books. She is best known for her series of books about the adventures of a young girl named Amelia Bedelia. Trumbauer has written and illustrated over twenty books in the Amelia Bedelia series, which have been translated into many languages and sold millions of copies worldwide.
Trumbauer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she studied illustration and design. After graduating, she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for several years before deciding to pursue a career in writing and illustrating children's books.
Trumbauer's books are known for their humorous and lighthearted tone, as well as their positive messages about friendship, family, and self-confidence. Her illustrations are bright and colorful, and often feature Amelia Bedelia in a variety of silly situations.
