Kohei Horikoshi is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the popular manga series My Hero Academia. Born in 1986, Horikoshi began drawing manga at a young age and was inspired by the works of Osamu Tezuka and Akira Toriyama. He made his professional debut in 2008 with the series Oumagadoki Zoo, which was published in Weekly Shonen Jump. In 2014, Horikoshi created My Hero Academia, a superhero manga series that follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without superpowers in a world where they are the norm. The series has become a global phenomenon, spawning an anime adaptation, video games, and a live-action movie. Horikoshi is known for his detailed artwork and dynamic action sequences, as well as his ability to create compelling characters and stories. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2015 and the Kodansha Manga Award in 2016. He continues to work on My Hero Academia, as well as other projects.
