Jonas Jonasson
Jonas Jonasson is a Swedish author best known for his novel The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. The novel was an international bestseller and was adapted into a feature film in 2013. Jonasson was born in Växjö, Sweden in 1961 and studied economics at the University of Lund. After working in the media industry for many years, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a writer.
Jonasson's writing style is often described as humorous and satirical, and his stories often feature unlikely protagonists who find themselves in extraordinary situations. His other works include The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden, The Accidental Further Adventures of the Hundred-Year-Old Man, and The Girl Who Played with Fire. He has also written several children's books, including The Little Old Man Who Broke All the Rules.
Jonasson's books have been translated into more than 40 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. He has won numerous awards, including the August Prize for The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. He currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden with his wife and two children.
