William Poundstone
William Poundstone is an American author and journalist who has written extensively on science, mathematics, and the history of technology. He is best known for his books on game theory, probability, and puzzles, such as Prisoner's Dilemma, Fortune's Formula, and The Recursive Universe. Poundstone has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic. He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, including The Colbert Report, NPR's Fresh Air, and The Daily Show. Poundstone has received numerous awards for his work, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Science Writing Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
