Adam Rutherford is a British science writer, broadcaster, and geneticist. He is the author of several books, including Creation, A Brief History of Everyone Who Ever Lived, and The Book of Humans. He is also the presenter of the BBC Radio 4 series Inside Science and the podcast The Curious Cases of Rutherford & Fry. He has a PhD in genetics from University College London and has worked as a research scientist at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. He is a passionate advocate for science communication and has appeared on numerous television and radio programmes. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian and New Scientist.
