David Omand is a British public servant and security expert. He is a former Director of GCHQ, the UK's intelligence and security agency. He has held a number of senior positions in the British government, including Permanent Secretary at the Home Office and Security and Intelligence Coordinator in the Cabinet Office. He is a Visiting Professor at King's College London and a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute.
