Jeffrey Toobin is an American lawyer, author, and legal analyst for CNN. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1986 and began his career as an assistant U.S. attorney in Brooklyn. He then moved to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan, where he worked on the prosecution of the Gambino crime family. Toobin has written several books, including The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson, and American Heiress: The Wild Saga of the Kidnapping, Crimes and Trial of Patty Hearst. He is also a contributing writer for The New Yorker and has appeared as a legal analyst on CNN since 2002.
