John Bew

John Bew is a British historian, journalist, and political commentator. He is the author of several books, including The Real Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Castlereagh: Enlightenment, War and Tyranny. He is also a contributing editor to the New Statesman and a senior fellow at the London-based think tank Policy Exchange. Bew has written extensively on British and Irish history, politics, and foreign policy. He is a frequent commentator on BBC Radio 4 and Sky News, and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs. He is a professor of history at King's College London and a visiting professor at the University of Manchester. Bew is a passionate advocate for the United Kingdom's continued membership of the European Union.
