Kurt Schlichter is an American lawyer, author, columnist, and retired Army Infantry Colonel. He is a senior columnist for Townhall.com and a contributing editor for the conservative magazine American Greatness. He is a frequent guest on Fox News and other media outlets. Schlichter is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Southern California Law School. He served in the United States Army for 21 years, retiring in 2006 as a Colonel. He is the author of several books, including the novels Indian Country and People's Republic. He is a vocal advocate for conservative values and the Second Amendment.
