Neal Katyal
Neal Katyal is an American lawyer and legal scholar. He is currently a partner at Hogan Lovells and a professor at Georgetown Law. He is best known for his work on civil rights, national security, and constitutional law. He has argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court, including the landmark case of Hamdan v. Rumsfeld. He has also served as the Acting Solicitor General of the United States and as the lead counsel in the successful challenge to the Trump administration’s travel ban. He is a recipient of the American Bar Association’s Thurgood Marshall Award and the American Constitution Society’s Liberty Award. He is a frequent commentator on legal issues in the media and has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.
