Bill Browder

Bill Browder is an American-born British financier and human rights activist. He is the CEO and co-founder of Hermitage Capital Management, an investment fund that was once the largest foreign investor in Russia. In 2005, Browder was denied entry to Russia and declared a "threat to national security" by the Russian government. He has since become a vocal critic of the Russian government and its human rights abuses. Browder has been a major advocate for the passage of the Magnitsky Act, a law that imposes sanctions on Russian officials involved in human rights abuses. He has also written a book, Red Notice, about his experiences in Russia and his fight for justice. Browder continues to fight for human rights and justice around the world.
