David Barsamian

David Barsamian is an award-winning radio broadcaster, author, and media critic. He is the founder and director of Alternative Radio, a weekly syndicated public affairs program heard on over 150 radio stations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and beyond. He has interviewed many of the world's leading intellectuals, including Noam Chomsky, Edward Said, Howard Zinn, and Arundhati Roy. He has authored several books, including The Decline and Fall of Public Broadcasting, and has been awarded the Media Education Award, the ACLU's Upton Sinclair Award for independent journalism, and the Cultural Freedom Fellowship from the Lannan Foundation.
