Jean-Pierre Filiu

Jean-Pierre Filiu is a French historian and professor at Sciences Po in Paris. He is an expert on the Middle East and has written extensively on the region's history and politics. He is the author of several books, including The Arab Revolution: Ten Lessons from the Democratic Uprising, The Arab World: A History of the Present, and From Deep State to Islamic State: The Arab Counter-Revolution and its Jihadi Legacy. He has also served as an advisor to the French government on Middle Eastern affairs. Filiu is a frequent commentator on Middle Eastern affairs in the media and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs.
