Stuart Macbride

Stuart MacBride is a Scottish crime writer best known for his series of novels featuring Detective Sergeant Logan McRae. MacBride was born in Fraserburgh, Scotland in 1969 and studied law at Aberdeen University. He worked as a probation officer for several years before becoming a full-time writer in 2004. His debut novel, Cold Granite, was published in 2005 and was an instant success. Since then, MacBride has written a further twelve novels in the Logan McRae series, as well as several stand-alone novels. His books have been translated into over twenty languages and have won numerous awards, including the CWA Dagger in the Library Award. MacBride currently lives in Aberdeen with his wife and two children.
