Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut, engineer, and former Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot. He is best known for being the first Canadian to walk in space, and for his command of the International Space Station in 2013. Hadfield has flown two space shuttle missions, STS-74 and STS-100, and served as the commander of Expedition 35. He has also been involved in numerous scientific experiments and educational outreach activities. Hadfield is an advocate for space exploration and has been a strong supporter of the Canadian Space Agency. He is an author and has released several albums of space-themed music. Hadfield is an inspiration to many and is a true Canadian hero.
