Jennie Rooney is a British author and journalist. She is best known for her debut novel, Inside the Whale, which was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award in 2011. She has also written for The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, and The New Statesman. Rooney has a degree in English Literature from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia.
