Max Allan Collins
Max Allan Collins is an American mystery and crime fiction author, comic book writer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his graphic novel Road to Perdition, which was adapted into a 2002 film starring Tom Hanks. Collins has written numerous novels in the “Hardboiled” detective genre, including the Nathan Heller series. He has also written comic books, including the Dick Tracy series, and has written scripts for television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Collins has won numerous awards for his work, including the Private Eye Writers of America's Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers.
