Jodi Picoult

Jodi Picoult is an American author of twenty-four novels. She is best known for her exploration of controversial social issues such as abortion, racism, same-sex marriage, and terminal illness. Her books have been translated into thirty-four languages and have sold more than fourteen million copies worldwide. She has also written several screenplays and a musical. Picoult has received numerous awards, including the New England Bookseller Award for Fiction, the Romance Writers of America's Rita Award, and the New Hampshire Literary Award. She is a graduate of Princeton University and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Picoult is a passionate advocate for literacy and has been a keynote speaker at numerous literacy events.
