Rion Amilcar Scott

Rion Amilcar Scott is a critically acclaimed author, journalist, and professor. He is best known for his debut novel, The World Doesn't Require You, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize. He is also the author of the short story collection Insurrections and the nonfiction book The Gilded Auction Block. Scott has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and other publications. He is currently an assistant professor of creative writing at George Mason University. Scott's work has been praised for its exploration of race, identity, and the African American experience.
