Brian Patten

Brian Patten is a British poet, playwright, and children's author. He was born in Liverpool in 1946 and is one of the Liverpool Poets, along with Adrian Henri and Roger McGough. He has written over 30 books of poetry, plays, and children's fiction, and has been awarded numerous awards for his work. He is known for his humorous and accessible style, and his work often deals with themes of love, loss, and the human condition. He has also been a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's Poetry Please. He continues to write and perform his work, and is a popular figure in the British literary scene.
