Alice Sebold
Alice Sebold is an American author best known for her 2002 novel The Lovely Bones. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1963 and grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She attended Syracuse University and graduated with a degree in creative writing. After college, she moved to California and worked as a waitress while writing her first novel, Lucky. The Lovely Bones was published in 2002 and was an immediate success, becoming a bestseller and being adapted into a feature film in 2009. Sebold has since published two more novels, The Almost Moon and The Almost Moon, as well as a memoir, Lucky. She currently lives in California with her husband and two children.
