Jean E. Pendziwol
Jean E. Pendziwol is an award-winning Canadian author and illustrator of children’s books. She is best known for her book Once Upon a Northern Night, which won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Children’s Illustration in 2004. Pendziwol has also written and illustrated several other books, including The Lightkeeper’s Daughter, The White Cat and the Monk, and The Night Wanderer. She has a passion for exploring the natural world and has a degree in biology from the University of Guelph. Pendziwol’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times and The Globe and Mail. She currently lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario, with her husband and two children.
