Sandro Veronesi
Sandro Veronesi is an Italian novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. He is best known for his novels Calcutta and Quiet Chaos, both of which were adapted into films. Veronesi was born in Florence in 1959 and studied philosophy at the University of Florence. He began his career as a journalist, writing for several Italian newspapers and magazines. In 2000, he published his first novel, Calcutta, which was an immediate success and won the Premio Campiello and the Premio Strega. His subsequent novels, including Quiet Chaos, have also been widely acclaimed. Veronesi has also written several screenplays, including the award-winning film La prima cosa bella. He currently lives in Rome with his wife and two children.
