Marie Myung-Ok Lee

Marie Myung-Ok Lee is a Korean-American novelist, essayist, and short story writer. She is the author of the novel Somebody's Daughter, which was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award, and the short story collection The Language of Blood. She has also written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and other publications. Lee is a professor at Brown University, where she teaches creative writing and Asian American literature. She is a recipient of the United States Artists Fellowship, the Whiting Writers' Award, and the Asian American Literary Award. Lee is a passionate advocate for Asian American representation in literature and media. She is committed to creating stories that reflect the diversity of the Asian American experience.
