Garth Stein
Garth Stein is an American novelist, playwright, and filmmaker. He is best known for his novel The Art of Racing in the Rain, which was adapted into a feature film in 2019. Stein has also written several other novels, including Raven Stole the Moon and How Evan Broke His Head and Other Secrets. He has written plays for the Seattle Repertory Theatre, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and the Seattle Children's Theatre. Stein has also directed several short films, including The Krakken and Secondhand Wedding. He is a graduate of Yale University and lives in Seattle, Washington.
