Brian Evenson

Brian Evenson is an American author and editor of literary fiction, horror, and crime fiction. He is the author of over a dozen books, including the novels The Open Curtain, Last Days, and Song for the Unravelling of the World. He has also edited several anthologies, including The New Uncanny and The Uncanny Reader. Evenson has won numerous awards, including the American Library Association's award for Best Horror Novel, the International Horror Guild Award, and the Shirley Jackson Award. He is currently a professor of Literary Arts at Brown University. His work has been praised for its dark, surreal, and often unsettling themes, and his writing has been described as "hauntingly beautiful".
