Douglas Stuart
Douglas Stuart is a Scottish novelist and Anglican priest. He was born in Glasgow in 1975 and grew up in Ayrshire. He studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and then went on to pursue a PhD in Theology at the University of Cambridge. He has written several novels, including his debut novel, Shuggie Bain, which won the 2020 Booker Prize. He is also the author of the memoir, All That's Left to Tell. Stuart is an advocate for social justice and has worked with a number of charities in Scotland. He currently lives in London with his wife and two children.
