Jack London
Jack London (1876-1916) was an American novelist, journalist, and social activist. He is best known for his adventure novels and stories, including The Call of the Wild and White Fang. London was born in San Francisco and raised in Oakland, California. He worked in a variety of jobs before becoming a full-time writer. He traveled extensively, including a trip to the Klondike during the Gold Rush. His works often focused on the struggles of the working class and the power of nature. London was a passionate advocate for socialism and wrote extensively on the subject. He died at the age of 40, leaving behind a legacy of powerful stories and social commentary.
