Max Fisher

Max Fisher was an American businessman and philanthropist. He was born in Ohio in 1908 and was the son of a successful businessman. He attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in economics. After college, he worked in his father's business and eventually took it over. He was a successful businessman and investor, and he used his wealth to support numerous philanthropic causes. He was a major donor to the United Jewish Appeal, the United Negro College Fund, and the United Way. He was also a major supporter of the arts, donating to the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He died in 2005 at the age of 97.
