J.M. Barrie
J.M. Barrie (1860-1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright best known for creating the beloved character Peter Pan. He was born in Kirriemuir, Scotland, and attended the University of Edinburgh. Barrie wrote a number of successful novels and plays, including The Little Minister, Quality Street, and What Every Woman Knows. His most famous work, Peter Pan, was first performed in 1904 and has since been adapted into numerous films, musicals, and other works. Barrie's works have been translated into over 50 languages and have been enjoyed by generations of readers and theatergoers.
