Ocean Vuong
Ocean Vuong is a Vietnamese-American poet, essayist, and novelist. Born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1988, Vuong immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of two. He is the author of the poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds, which won the 2017 T.S. Eliot Prize, and the novel On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, which was a finalist for the 2019 National Book Award. Vuong's work has been praised for its lyrical beauty and its exploration of themes such as trauma, identity, and the immigrant experience. He is currently an assistant professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
