Ghassan Kanafani
Ghassan Kanafani (1936-1972) was a Palestinian writer, journalist, and political activist. He was born in Acre, Palestine, and was a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. He wrote several novels, short stories, and plays, and was a major figure in the Palestinian literary scene. He was also a prominent political figure, advocating for the rights of Palestinians and their struggle for self-determination. He was assassinated in 1972 by the Israeli Mossad in Beirut, Lebanon. His works remain influential to this day, and his legacy is remembered as a symbol of Palestinian resistance and struggle.
