Antoine De Saint-Exupery
Antoine De Saint-Exupery (1900-1944) was a French writer, poet, and aviator. He is best known for his novella The Little Prince, which has been translated into over 250 languages and is one of the best-selling books of all time. He was also a pioneering aviator, making several pioneering flights across the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. He was a member of the French Air Force during World War II and was shot down over the Mediterranean in 1944. His works have been praised for their insight into the human condition and his writing has been described as lyrical and poetic. He is remembered as a great humanitarian and his legacy lives on in his works.
