Robert W. Chambers

Robert W. Chambers (1865-1933) was an American artist and author. He is best known for his collection of short stories, The King in Yellow, which is considered a classic of weird fiction. Chambers was born in Brooklyn, New York and studied art at the Art Students League of New York. He worked as an illustrator for various magazines and books, including Harper's Magazine and Scribner's Magazine. He wrote over 150 short stories, novels, and poems, and is credited with popularizing the genre of weird fiction.
