Charlotte Brontë
Charlotte Brontë (1816-1855) was an English novelist and poet, best known for her novel Jane Eyre. Born in Yorkshire, England, she was the third of six children of Patrick Brontë, an Anglican clergyman, and his wife Maria Branwell. Charlotte was a passionate and imaginative writer, and her works are known for their exploration of social issues, such as gender roles, religion, and class. She was also a strong advocate for women's rights. Charlotte's other works include The Professor, Villette, and Shirley. She died at the age of 38, leaving behind a legacy of powerful literature that continues to inspire readers today.
