Sarah Lotz is a South African author and screenwriter. She is best known for her horror and suspense novels, such as The Three, Day Four, and The Mall. Lotz has also written for television, including the series The Lying Game and The Messengers. She is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. Lotz is a passionate advocate for diversity in literature and is a member of the We Need Diverse Books campaign. She currently lives in Cape Town with her family.
