Mark Blacklock is a British author and journalist. He is best known for his debut novel, Lockwood & Co: The Screaming Staircase, which was published in 2014. He has since written two more books in the series, The Whispering Skull and The Hollow Boy. He has also written for The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, and The New Statesman. He is a graduate of the University of East Anglia and currently lives in London. His writing is often described as darkly humorous and full of suspense. He is an avid reader and enjoys exploring the city of London.
