Steve Toltz

Steve Toltz is an Australian novelist and screenwriter. He is best known for his debut novel, A Fraction of the Whole, which was shortlisted for the 2008 Man Booker Prize and won the 2008 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book. He has also written the novels Quicksand and The Rise and Fall of the Miraculous Vespas. His work has been translated into more than 20 languages and has been adapted for the stage and screen. He has also written for television and film, including the feature film The Dressmaker. He currently lives in Sydney, Australia.
