Maggie Shipstead

Maggie Shipstead is an American novelist and short story writer. She is the author of the novels Seating Arrangements and Astonish Me, as well as the short story collection, St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves. Shipstead's work has been widely praised for its wit and insight into the complexities of family life. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Dylan Thomas Prize, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award. Shipstead's writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The Paris Review, among other publications. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
