Paul Merton is an English comedian, actor, writer, and television presenter. He is best known for his appearances on the improvisational comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Have I Got News for You. He has also appeared in films such as The Secret Policeman's Ball and The Parole Officer. Merton is a prolific writer, having written several books and plays. He has also written for radio and television, including the BBC Radio 4 series Paul Merton's Impro Chums. He is a regular panelist on the BBC Radio 4 show Just a Minute.
