Alexis Schaitkin is an American novelist and screenwriter. She is best known for her debut novel The Stranger Inside, which was published in 2020. She has also written for television, including the series The Affair and The Sinner. Schaitkin was born in New York City and grew up in the Hudson Valley. She studied English and Creative Writing at Brown University, and later earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. Her writing has been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Paris Review. She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she is working on her next novel. Schaitkin is passionate about exploring the complexities of identity, relationships, and the human experience.
