Saad Z. Hossain is a Bangladeshi-American author and editor. He is the author of the critically acclaimed novel, The Gurkha and the Lord of Tuesday, and the editor of the anthology, The Djinn Falls in Love and Other Stories. He has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Strange Horizons, Lightspeed, and Apex Magazine. He is a graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop and a former editor of the Hugo Award-winning magazine, Strange Horizons. He is currently a senior editor at Tor.com, where he works on original fiction and non-fiction. He is passionate about science fiction, fantasy, and horror, and is committed to amplifying marginalized voices in the genre.
