Dean Palmer is a former professional baseball player who played for the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, and Oakland Athletics. He was a three-time All-Star and won the Silver Slugger Award in 1998. Palmer was known for his powerful bat and ability to hit for both power and average. He was also an excellent fielder, winning the Gold Glove Award in 1995. Palmer retired in 2001 after a successful 15-year career. He is now a hitting coach for the Texas Rangers and is highly respected in the baseball community.
