Emma Donoghue

Emma Donoghue is an Irish-Canadian playwright, novelist, and screenwriter. She is best known for her 2010 novel Room, which was adapted into a feature film of the same name. Donoghue's other works include the novels Slammerkin, Life Mask, and The Wonder, as well as the short story collection Kissing the Witch. She has also written several plays, including I Know My Own Heart and The Seagull and the Slaves. Donoghue has won numerous awards, including the 2010 Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize and the 2011 Commonwealth Writers' Prize. She currently lives in London, England, with her family.
