Dinah Jefferies
Dinah Jefferies is a British author of historical fiction. She was born in Malaysia and grew up in a family of British expatriates. She studied English Literature at the University of East Anglia and worked as a teacher before becoming a full-time writer. Her debut novel, The Separation, was published in 2014 and was an international bestseller. Her other works include The Tea Planter’s Wife, The Silk Merchant’s Daughter, The Missing Sister, and The Clockmaker’s Daughter. Her books have been translated into over thirty languages and have been adapted for television. Jefferies is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and is a patron of the charity Mind.
