Honorée Fanonne Jeffers

Honorée Fanonne Jeffers is an award-winning poet, novelist, and professor of English at Oklahoma State University. She is the author of five books of poetry, including The Glory Gets, Outlandish Blues, and At the Root of the Word. Her work has been featured in numerous anthologies and journals, and she has received numerous awards, including the Pushcart Prize, the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, and the Oklahoma Book Award. Jeffers is also a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lannan Foundation. Her work is known for its exploration of African American history, culture, and identity.
